BESSIE LEE BOWEN

Mrs. Bessie Lee Bowen passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at Fairfield 
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 96 years old.

Mrs. Bowen was born on June 10, 1910, in Freestone County, Texas. She lived 
in Wortham, Coolidge and Fairfield, Texas, at different times in her life, 
and worked as a housekeeper. Mrs. Bowen was a member of Fairfield Church of
God In Christ #1.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bowen were held on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at 
Fairfield Church of God In Christ #1. Elder J.E. Reeves and Rev. Darrell 
Houston officiated and interment was at Johnson Cemetery in Fairfield.

Mrs. Bowen is survived by her son Kennard Bowen and wife Mary of Dallas, 
Texas, her daughters Annette Potillo and Patricia Bowen, both of Fairfield, 
Texas, her daughters-in-law Barbara Bowen of Atlanta, Georgia and Dora 
Thurman of Dallas, Texas; 17 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren
and great great grandchildren.

Casket bearers for Mrs. Bowen were Alvin Bowen, David Bowen, Charles Bowen,
Jr., Leonard Prim, Kennard Bowen, Jr., Patrick Grant and Derrick Lewis.
