Bradford BRADFORD JAMES M. passed away Monday March 3, 2003 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas He was born October 28, 1930 in Streetman, Texas to Clinton and Laura Bradford. James received a B.A. from Wiley College and an M.A. from Texas Southern University. He has spent 31 years as a social studies teacher with the idland Independent School District, and at the time of his death was teaching at Midland College. James was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. James is survived by his two sons, Courtland Bivens III of Atlanta, Georga and Mark Bivens of Accokeek, Maryland; one brother, Miles Bradford of Streetman, Texas; two grandchildren, Courtland Bivens IV and Mark Bivens II; two aunts, Bell Ewing of Dallas, Texas and Annie Lee Perkins of Streetman, Texas; a host of relatives and friends. A wake will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday March 7, 2003 at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday March 8, 2003 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Monsignor T. J. Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy, Midland Texas.
