Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle October 18, 2007 CLEON O. BRADY Graveside services for Cleon O. Brady, 93, of Mexia, Texas, were held on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Forest Glade Cemetery under the direction of Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Eakin conducted the service. Mr. Brady died on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at his home in Kilgore, Texas at Kilgore Manor where he resided for the last three months. He had resided at Groesbeck LTC previously. All who knew him there loved his wit and charm and he was appreciative of all that they did for him. Cleon was born on August 18, 1914, in Winnsboro, Texas to E.T. and Ivy Brady. He was a longtime resident of Mexia for over 50 years. During his long life he was a real estate broker. He was a veteran of World War II and was in the See Bees in the South Pacific. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mexia. Survivors include his nephews Billy Bob Brady of Kilgore, Johnny Brady of Mexia and Steve Brady of Grand Prairie and his niece Francis Morris of Nacogdoches. His step-grandchildren, several great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and his extended family and friends at Kilgore Manor and Groesbeck LTC also survive Mr. Brady. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Symantha Brady and his brothers Harland Brady and Billy Brady. Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home of Mexia was in charge of the arrangements.
