Brice, 90, at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Evangeline Funeral Home in New Iberia, Louisiana. V.F.W. Post 1982 will provide military honors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday at Evangeline Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until time of services. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Salem Cemetery near Freestone. Bro. Travis Brice will officiate. Leonard Brice, known by family and friends as Jack, was born May 18, 1922 in Altus, Oklahoma to Cave and Mae Pearl Johnson Brice and passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012. Jack was a veteran of the Navy and proudly served his country during WWII. He was a lifelong oilfield worker and a member of the Aurora F & AM 193 Masonic Lodge, where he was elected to many offices. Jack enjoyed working in his yard. But his greatest love was the time spent with family. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be missed dearly. Survivors include his wife Edna Lambert Brice of New Iberia; three sons, Larry Brice and wife Ann of Welsh, Garry Brice and wife Jeanette of New Iberia and James Brice and wife Peggy of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Kori Clevenger of Omaha, NE, Angela Brice of New Iberia, Seth Brice of New Iberia, Travis Brice of New Iberia, Kelly Brice of Lafayette, and Fannie Sonnier of New Iberia; ten great grandchildren, Jordan and Justyn Clevenger, Austyn, Hannah, Joshua Chandler and Cohen Hawkins, Macy Brice, and Lorelei and Wyatt Sonnier. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Sandifer Brice; a granddaughter, Stacey Brice Hawkins; his parents, Cave and Mae Pearl Johnson Brice; a sister, Fannie Bennet; and three brothers, John, James, and Harold Brice.
