Freestone County, Texas Obituaries W. L. Bringhurst Died Feb. 1913 February 19, 1913 BRINGHURST FUNERAL AT BRYAN Body of Orphans' Home Superintendent Taken There The body of Dr. W. L. Bringhurst, superintendent of the State Orphans' Home, who died yesterday afternoon, left here this morning at 9:25 o'clock for Bryan for interment. The body was accompanied by Mrs. Bringhurst, Miss Nettie Bringhurst, wife and daughter of the deceased, and William R. Houston and Harris Houston of Teague, W. B. Parker of Kerens, Will Conner of Corsicana, Jack Sanders of Frost and Judge John H. Rice of Corsicana, members of the State Home board, also accompanied the body. A large number of the children of the home followed the remains to the depot and many of them shed tears as the body was being placed on the train. Dr. Bringhurst was 68 years old and was born in Alexandria, La., but had lived in Texas for many years.
