Monette (Berner) Brooke 
(May 5, 1918 - July 30, 2006) 

Graveside services for Monette Brooke, formerly of Teague, were held on 
Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at Dew Cemetery. Bro. Darrel Beggs officiated. 
Monette passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2006. 

Mrs. Brooke was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith. She was also a 
member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter, 
Margaret Tovrea & husband Allen of Alvin; two grandchildren, Allen Tovrea and 
Kaylynn Parker; one great-grandchild, Chris Barnhill, numerous other relatives 
& friends including her sister-in-law, Archie Mae Brooke of Teague. Mrs. Brooke 
was preceded in death by her husband, William A. (Bill) Brooke and her parents, 
John and Thelma Berner.
