Dr. Brooks gone

For all Baylor students both past and present, the newss that Dr. Brooks,
president of Baylor University, has died is some of the saddest ever heard. He
is known by students and graduates as a father figure who loved the university
and student body.  Serving as chief executive for 28 years, Dr. Brooks helped
Baylor stay true to the principles the school was founded on when Texas was
still a republic.  The flag of the state was flown at half mast on his death.
