Deacon Lucious Brooks

Deacon Lucious Brooks, 93, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 at 
Navarro Regional Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Second Mission Baptist Church with the Rev. 
Larry Polk, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson Community 
Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lil' Leslie Lusk, Omar Lusk, Brian Lusk, Lil' Chris Lusk, 
Reggie Polk, Charles Turner III and Stacy Polk. Honorary pallbearers will be 
Larry Lusk, Chris Lusk, Sydney Polk, Berwin Lusk and Mike Calhoun.

Mr. Brooks was born April 3, 1909 in Teague.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, two sons, grandson Danny 
Lusk and great-grandson Lil' Danny Lusk.

Survivors include his devoted daughter, Dorothy Woodard and husband Junius; 
grandchildren and spouses, Annie and Sydney Polk, Olin and Nora Lusk, Larry and 
Versie Lusk, Virginia Bradley, Patsy and Minister Charles Turner, Timothy Lusk, 
Lesley Lusk, Rose and Mike Calhoun, Chris and Sherry Lusk, and Berwin and Mimi 
Lusk; and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, other relatives 
and friends.
