BROOKS

DORIS ETHEL BROOKS passed from this life Wednesday, July 3, 2002 after a 
short illness. She was born in Teague, Texas to John L. Johnson and Doris 
Estelle Johnson on October 1, 1926. She is survived by her husband of 53 
years, Durward T. Brooks, her son Frank Brooks and his wife Glynis, her 
daughter Phyllis Brooks Ward and her husband Simon, four grandchildren, John 
D. Brooks, Rachel D. Brooks, Nicholas A. Ward and Oliver A. Ward. She enjoyed 
her family and many friends, loved animals and was a devoted and wonderful 
mother. She will be missed by all. A celebration of her life by her family 
and friends will be held at Klein Funeral Home at 16131 Champion Forest Drive
at 2:pm on Friday, July 5, 2002. Funeral services will be at Bowers Funeral 
Home in Teague, Texas on Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 2:pm with interment at 
Union Cemetery in Donie, Texas.
