Callie Brown

Mrs. Callie Brown, 90, of Teague passed away Nov. 8 in the Heritage Oaks
Nursing Facility of Corsicana. Viewing was held at the funeral home Friday,
Nov. 13. Services were held Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist 
Church, Teague, with Rev. Maurice Frazier and Rev. L. B. Perry officiating. 
Interment was at Jerusalem Cemetery of Teague.

Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 2, 1919 and grew up and attended the public schools 
in the Avant community east of Teague. She was married to Nathaniel Brown, Sr.
for nearly 60 years before he preceded her in death.

She worked as a housekeeper for various families in the Teague area. She was
a faithful member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Teague and served
as secretary/treasurer for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Gloria
Brown Dixon, a sister, two brothers, and one grandson, Derek Brown.

She is survived by her children, Nat Brown and wife, Brenda, Dayton, OH, 
George Brown and wife, Dorothy, Kansas City, MO; Harold Blaine Brown and wife,
Ann, Winston-Salem, NC; Homer Brown and wife, Dena, Houston; and Billy Lee 
Brown, Teague;

Special daughter-in-law Patricia Brown, Dallas; 10 grandchildren, 13 
greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The 
family had lunch at the First Baptist fellowship hall following the services.

Pallbearers were Alan Brown, Billy Brown, Darron Brown, Jason Brown, Michael 
Brown and Percell Milton. Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague is serving
the Brown Family.
