Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mexia Daily News - Mar. 30, 2004 edition Sneed Darwin Brown Funeral services for Sneed Darwin Brown, 66, of Mexia, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Ken Lane, pastor of First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Wortham Cemetery. Mr. Brown, a Methodist, died Saturday in the Veterans Administration Hospital of Dallas. He was born at Wortham on April 6, 1937, was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served from August, 1956, until August of 1979. He was a Technical Sergeant when he retired, and had served in Germany, Siagon and Lebanon. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis T. and Clara Belle Williams Brown, and by three brothers - Don Brown, A.T. Brown and Billy Brown. He had resided in Mexia since 1979, graduated from Mexia High School in 1955, and from Navarro College in 1956. Surviving are a brother, James Brown of Waco; a sister and brother-in-law, Benita and Bill Sharp of Crockett; a nephew, Barry Sharp and wife Suzanne of Austin; a great-niece and great-nephew, Bethany and Benton Sharp. Pallbearers are Carl Heller, Kevin Stone, Terry Full, Wade Davis and Barry Sharp.
