Robert Earl Brown


Robert Earl Brown, 64, of Fairfield passed away Saturday, April 7, 2001 at East 
Texas Medical Center in Tyler. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Griffin-
Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin-
Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Lewis Simpson officiating. 
Interment will follow at Lake Chapel. Pallbearers are Willie Nelson, Jon Allen, 
Larry Raye, Greg Travelstead, Danny Wright and Bill Noland. Mr. Brown was born
April 18, 1936 in Conroe. He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Brown of Fairfield;
sons Allan Brown of Palestine and Charles D. Davis of West; daughter Brenda D.
Dibbs of Elkhart; brothers Hulon and wife Minnie Brown of Willis and Leland Brown
of Grangerland; sisters Flossie and husband H.H. Hilton of CoCoa, Fla. and Bonnie 
and husband Gene Steward of Liberty; and 10 grandchildren and four great-
