Services will be held at 11:30am Friday, January 10 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Ron Durham and Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:30pm Friday at Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Thursday, January 9 at the funeral home. Mr. Browne was born in Fairfield, Texas, April 16, 1937. He graduated from Waco High School in 1955 and was a Navy Veteran, serving from 1955 to 1957. He attended Baylor University 1957-1960. On September 16, 1961, he married Diana Barron in Mart, Texas. Mr. Browne was director of Baylor Printing Services until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of Columbus Ave. Baptist Church. When not on a trip to the beautiful Northeast with his wife, Diana, Mr. Browne enjoyed collecting antiques, researching family genealogy, or creating unique artwork. To his four precious grandsons, he was known as “Grandad”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Browne and a son-in-law, Lawrence Hardin. Survivors include wife, Diana Browne of Waco; daughters, Dana Hardin of Arlington and Lisa Holland and husband, Corky of Amarillo; grandchildren, Colby Hardin, Heath Holland, Luke Holland, and Grant Holland, sister, Miriam Griffis of Houston, brother, Ivan Browne of Alvin and father-in-law, Loyd Barron of Waco. Pallbearers will be Corky Holland, Phil Griffis, Jim McIlveen, Milton McIlveen, Howard DeOrnelles, and Gary Pate.
