Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Bruce Wayne Bryson Corsicana Daily Sun - Thursday, March 22, 2012 Bruce Wayne Bryson was born on Sept. 28, 1951 in Corsicana to Duane and Joy A[u]stin Bryson. He took the "Ultimate Journey" on March 20, 2012 after a life-long battle with cystic fibrosis with his family around him. He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Bryson and his childhood friend Randal Hunnicutt. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Sharon; mother, Joy; brother Mark and wife Sherrie; sons, Jeff Branam and wife Julie, Rondi Bryson and daughter Dana Smart. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Katy, Megan, Erin, Sierra, Kristin, Kayla and grandson Scott, as well as two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his favorite "sister" Judy Sills and long time dear friends Ed Donahue and Jason Matous. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery in Fairfield. Pallbearers will be Ed Donahue, Gary Nease, Jerry Davis, Jed Donahue, Danny Hendrix and Jason Matous.
