Phyllis (Schwellenbach) Burkhalter

  Phyllis Burkhalter, 81, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, in 
Fairfield.  Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 
at Capps Memorial Chapel.  Graveside memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, 
May 2, 2014 at Fairfield Cemetery. 
  Phyllis was born February 20, 1933 in Pierre, South Dakota; to parents Albert 
and Hilda Schwellenbach.  
  She had been a Fairfield resident for almost forty years and was a retired 
secretary with the TDCJ in Tennessee Colony.  
  Phyllis was married to James Burkhalter who preceded her in death in 2007.  
  Left to cherish her memory is two sons, Kenny Burkhalter of Fairfield and Randy 
Burkhalter of Holly Lake Ranch; three grandchildren, Dustin Burkhalter of 
Fairfield; Taylor Burkhalter of Lufkin; Robin Burkhalter of Troup; two great-
grandchildren, Xoie Baggerly and Maverick Baggerly; both of Troup.
