Fairfield Recorder Thursday May 11, 2006 Korey Dean Burks Funeral services for Korey Dean Burks were held Sunday at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church with Paul Gauntt officiating. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Burks died on May 4. He lived in Teague almost all his life, attended Teague schools and graduated Teague high school in 1995. He graduated from T. S. T. C. in Waco in 1997. Mr. Burks was a construction foreman for Evers and Sons Construction. Surviving Mr. Burks are his mother and stepfather, Kris and David Ivy of Streetman; father and stepmother, Kerry and Cheryl Burks of Buffalo; sister Kerrissa Nichols and husband Gary of Streetman; nephews Taylor and Gary, Jr of Streetman and grandparents Rufus and Wanda Burks of Donie, Bobbee Dee Taylor of Teague and Bill and Jane Ivy of Lubbock. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Jerry and Karyn Richards of Fairfield, aunt Dianne Ivy of Lubbock, aunt Debbie Strader of Teague, aunt and uncle Joey and Becky Burks of Kirvin and numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers were David Lee Carroll, Clint Silar, Matt Silar, Bubba Lee, Chris Padgett, J. W. Richards IV, Marc Barger and Paul Barger, Jr. Arrangements were by Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
