G. Burks and claimed as its victim, Mrs. Nannie Burks, after an illness of about three weeks. We should not weep as one having no hope. Sister Nannie was a member of the Baptist church at Ward Prairie, and was surely a Christian. Before her death she called her family around the bedside and talked to them, saying she hated to leave them, but God said come up higher. About six hours before her death she gazed up into heaven, and for an hour never moved her eyes and with a smile said, "You ought to have seen." Sister Nannie leaves a husband and four children and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. She was born near Fairfield, Freestone county; was married to R. G. Burks, of Ellis county. After their marriage they moved to Ellis county, remaining there a short time, and then back to where she died. She was 35 years of age. "Blessed are they that die in the Lord, for they shall see God." Uncle Billie
