            WORTHAM, July 25, 1881

Correspondence of the Herald:
Mr. Jim Anderson went to Walker Miller's last night and paid him three hundred
and thirty dollars for cattle.  Walker Miller locked the money up in his trunk
and put the key in his pocket.  Anderson and Miller soon went to bed in the
house.  Mr. A., seeing a man in the door, aroused Miller, who discovered his 
money was gone.  Pursuit was made without effect.

Mr. Dave Burleson, one of our most substantial citizens, died to-day of black 
jaundice.
