Freestone County, Texas Obituaries [James Dillard Burleson Jul 23, 1907 - Dec 29, 1988] James Dillard Burleson James Dillard Burleson, 81, of Corsicana died Dec. 29, 1988, in a Waco Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Corley Funeral Chapel. Masonic graveside services will follow at St. Elmo Cemetery, Winkler. The Rev. B. F. Risinger, Jr., will officiate. Burleson was born July 23, 1907, in Quanah. He was retired from the restaurant business in Houston after many years and moved to Corsicana in 1982. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corsicana, a member of the Corsicana Masonic Lodge, No. 174, A.F.&A.M., Navarro-Corsicana Chapter No. 118 O.E.S., Arabia Temple AAONMS of Houston, Corsicana No. 32, R&SM. He was a four year World War II Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Corsicana; two brothers, J.C. Burleson of Houston and V.P. Burleson of Midway; two sisters, Betty Palms of Corsicana and Hazel Clark of Maybank. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
