Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Corsicana Daily Sun - Wednesday, August 28, 2013 Arthur Dale Burleson Arthur Dale Burleson passed away on Wednesday, Aug, 28, 2013 at Navarro Regional Hospital at the age of 91. He was born on Saturday, July 29, 1922 in Teague to Frank Harold Burleson and Daisy Odessa Seabolt Burleson. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II walking from Union High to Corsicana and then going to Dallas to enlist. Arthur worked for Navarro County as a heavy equipment operator and served 17 years on the Corsicana Fire Department. He was a avid deer hunter and outdoors man. He spent many days teaching his sons and grandsons to hunt and fish. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings and grandson Dustin Burleson. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eva Burleson; sons, Randall Burleson and wife Brenda of Emmett, Billy Burleson and Garland Burleson both of Emmett; grandsons, Steve Burleson and wife Sharon of Emmett; sister-in-law, Mary Burleson of Corsicana; grandchildren, Elizabeth Reed and husband Joe of Waco, Joshua and Elijah Burleson, Johnathan, Jacob and Jayci Springer of Emmett. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Navarro Mills Baptist Church. Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at Hamilton - Beeman Cemetery in Retreat. Arrangements by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
