Lottie Nell (Emmons) Burns

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Nixon, Texas for Lottie Nell Burns, 87, 
of Smiley, who died July 31 in Cuero.

Mrs. Burns was born in Fairfield on June 17, 1919 to Titus Emmons and Jewel 
Black Emmons. She married Price W. Burns on Nov. 13, 1941. A Methodist, Mrs. 
Burns was retired from civil service, in finance accounting.

Mrs. Burns is survived by her son Bobby Burns of San Antonio, granddaughter 
Melina Novello and husband Frank of Brunswick, Ga., and great-grandchildren 
Kaitlyn Mannis and Nathan Price Mannis, both of Brunswick, Ga.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, who died Mar. 24, 1996, parents, 
brother Lovic Emmons and sister Sue Kennedy.

Services were held at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon with burial at Smiley 
Baptist Cemetery in Smiley. Memorial contributions can be made to Smiley
