Geo. W. Burrows died at his home in Freestone County, Aug. 4th, 1861, after a 
very brief illness, being sick less than two days. He first joined the Kentucky
Conference, locating after several useful years in the itinerancy in that
State. After coming to Texas, he again entered the itinerant ranks, and was 
ordained by Bishop Pierce in 1855,; we have no record of when he was ordained 
deacon. After traveling four years in the Texas Conference, he was granted a 
supernumerary relation, which he held up to the time of his death.
