The Mexia Daily News - 31 Mar 2006 edition Joyce Busby TEAGUE - Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Glen Phillips Busby, 83, of Teague, will be held Saturday morning, April 1, 2006, at 11 o’clock in Titus Chapel United Methodist Church-Teague. Officiating will be the Rev. Reginald Russell, the Rev. Roger Hunter and Cleo Phillips. Burial will be in Grove Island Cemetery-Teague, under direction of Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Busby, who died March 26, 2006, in Parkview Regional Hospital, was born July 15, 1922, in Freestone County. She was a Beautician and owner of he Forget-Me-Not Beauty Shop in Teague, and was a member of Titus Chapel UMC. A member of the Magnolia Burial Club, Mrs. Busby was class leader at Titus Chapel, and was a member of the Bi-Stone Beauticians Club, and the Union Christian Aid Society. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, John E. and Katie Carter of Teague, Billy Roy and Frankie High of Dallas, Arthur D. Busby, Jr., and wife Ann of DeSoto; a daughter and son-in-law, Portia D. Busby Lindsey and Majoree, Jr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Annie Mae and John Fluellen of San Bernardino, California; a brother and sister-in-law, Cleo J. and Mary Phillips of Spencer, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
