Mildred (Lankford) Busby

The Angelic Hosts came for Mildred (Lankford) Busby, 82, on Friday, September 7, 
2012 in the Parkview Regional Hospital among loving family and devoted friends. 
Viewing will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 from 10:00 AM-7:00 PM at the 
Funeral Home with the family present for visitation from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM. Funeral 
Services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in the First 
Baptist Church, 209 North 6th Avenue in Teague. Rev. Walter Franklin, Pastor of 
St. James United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the 
Antioch Cemetery, N 1st Street in Teague.

Mildred (Lankford) Busby was the third child of Gussie (McAdams) Levels and 
Artice Lankford and was born in Leon County near Jewett, Texas.

Mildred went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in 
Mexia, Texas. She grew up in Teague and attended the public schools there. She 
accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of St. James United 
Methodist Church. Midred was married to Ernest Busby for 66 wonderful years.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Gussie (McAdam) Levels, her Father, 
Artice Lankford, and her Daughter, Brendy Carol Busby.

Those who are left to cherish her memory include: her beloved and devoted 
Husband, Ernest Busby of Teague; one Sister, Rosa Lee Haynes of Teague; one 
Brother, Arby Lee Hambric of Las Vegas; one Son, Ernest Busby Jr. of Austin; 
seven Daughters, Ernestine (Busby) Longmire of Dallas; Rose Marie (Busby) 
DeGrate of Teague; Dorothy (Busby) Quaite of Waxahachie; Diane Busby of Teague; 
Joyce Busby of Dallas; Gloria Busby and Bridgette Busby both of Teague; 26 
Grandchildren, 55 Great-Grandchildren, numerous Great-Great Grandchildren, and 
a host of Extended Family and Special Friends.
