Joe Kirven Butcher

Friday for Joe Kirven Butcher, 65, who died June 6 at Parkview Regional Hospital 
in Mexia. Location of the service was First United Methodist Church in Mexia. 
Elder Howard McLean, Sr. and Elder Howard McLean, Jr. officiated. Interment was 
at Wortham Cemetery.

Mr. Butcher was born Feb. 19, 1945 in Wortham, and completed his education in 
the Wortham public schools. He was an active member of the Smith Chapel 
Primitive Baptist Church of Wortham.

Mr. Butcher was preceded in death by his parents Taft Butcher and Odell Moore 
Butcher, brothers Larry Carter, William Calvan Butcher, Troy Fay Butcher and 
Edell Butcher.

Surviving Mr. Butcher are his son Chad Betts, Wortham, brothers Leroy Butcher 
and wife, Shelia, Wortham; Taft Butcher, Jr. and wife, KaSandra, DeSoto; Ricky 
Price and wife, Jean, Mexia; Benjamin Price and wife, Alice, Desoto;

Sisters Climmie Butcher Smith, Grand Prairie; Nancy Butcher Henderson and 
husband, James, Wortham; Rosie Butcher Jones, Wortham; Jewell Butcher Bowers 
and husband, Robert, Mexia; Ann Butcher Price and husband, Ben, DeSoto; and 
Debra Butcher Evans, Wortham;

Faithful friend Joseph Randle, Wortham, nieces, nephews and other relatives and
