Gary Butler
( August 29, 1956 - August 22, 2014 )

  Gary L. Butler was the last child of George and Sarah Burks Butler and was born 
in Wortham, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2014 in 
Parkview Regional Hospital among loving family and devoted friends. He grew up 
in Wortham, Texas and attended the public schools there. He was baptized in the 
Beulah Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. Gary was involved with Sunday 
School and the Church Choir. Gary was a "Mama's Boy" and loved his family very 
dearly - especially his sisters and his brothers. He loved sharing stories about 
his family. Mr. Butler moved to Dallas and took care of his niece, Kim, and made 
sure that she returned the favor of taking care of him, of which she did her best. 
He worked in the construction area with various companies. Gary grew up on a farm 
and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He had a passion for the Outdoor 
Channel and watched it all day, every day. Mr. Butler will be remembered most for 
his sense of humor, outspoken nature, and photographic memory.
