The Bryan/College Station Eagle Virgil Henry Caloway Oct. 14, 1912 — Oct. 21, 2000 JEWETT — Services for Virgil Henry Caloway, 88, of Jewett are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Miracle Christian Center in Buffalo. Lloyd Lane of the Miracle Christian Center will officiate. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Jewett. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to noon Monday at Ricks Funeral Home in Jewett. Mr. Caloway died Saturday in Fairview Manor Nursing Home in Fairfield, Texas. He was born in Rockdale and was retired from the Hughes Tool Company in Houston. He was a member of the Miracle Christian Center and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Audie Lee Caloway of Jewett; three sons and daughters-in-law, Virgil and Frances Caloway, Michael and Debbie Caloway and Douglas and June Caloway; four daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Kenneth Johnston, LaVerne and Mike Jordanger, Mary and Jim Boswell and Cynthia and Ray Pozzie; three stepsons and daughters-in-law, Don and Susan Williams, David and Gabriel Lawhorn and Mr. and Mrs. John Lawhorn; a stepdaughter, Barbara Coleman; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Cliff and Ann Caloway and Walton Caloway of Conroe, Texas; two sisters, Ada Badger of Conroe and Natha Lee McCoy of Crosby, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
