Thomas Henry (Tommy) Campbell

  Thomas Henry (Tommy) Campbell, 73, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, June 13, 
2014 in Tyler.
  Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Fairfield 
Christian Center with Bro. Tommy Mabry officiating assisted by Mr. Larry Davis. 
Interment followed at Lake Chapel Cemetery.
  Tommy was born November 15, 1940 in Frankston, Texas to parents Elijah Henry 
and Annie Mae Henderson Campbell. He married Janis Mabry on March 10, 1962. He 
had been a Fairfield resident for 44 years moving from McKinney, TX. Tommy 
retired in 1992 from Texas Utilities where he was a chemical supervisor. He was 
a longtime member of Fairfield Christian Center where he served as a deacon and 
praise and worship leader. He was past president of the Fairfield Lions Club and 
past manager of Fairfield Market Days. More recently he worked part time as a 
driver for All Star Ford of Fairfield. Tommy enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and 
was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded 
in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Rusty Campbell, Jerry Scruggs, Wayne 
Taylor, John Miller, Jimmy Sherber and Maurice Hall. Honorary bearers were Eli 
Campbell, Luther Ward, Charles Easterwood, Laymon Fritz and Johnny Robinson.
  Left to cherish his memory is his wife Janis; two sons, Keith Alan Campbell 
and wife Debbie of Whitehouse, TX; Lance Mabry Campbell and Stephanie Webb of 
Bowie; one brother, Larry George Davis and wife Donna of Rusk, TX; one sister, 
Nancy Campbell Braden and husband Freddie of Dallas; five grandchildren, Tiffany 
Campbell Moss, Rusty Campbell, Eli Campbell, Carly Sanders, Cash Campbell; four 
great-grandchildren, Kelbi Campbell, Avery Moss, Audrei Grace Campbell, Kinsley 
Campbell.
