Gilmer, Texas, Jan. 28th. ---Funeral services for Eugene Bonner Campbell, 83, 
postmaster at Bettie, Upshur County, eighteen years were held Friday morning 
at the First Methodist Church in Gladewater.

Campbell died in a Gladewater hospital Wednesday afternoon. Born at Leesburg 
in Camp County, Sept. 9, 1865, he came to Upshur County in early youth. He had 
been residing in Gladewater since 1943. He retired from business life in 1938.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Leila Campbell of Gladewater; a son, Ed L. 
Campbell, Greenville; three daughters, Mrs. N. S. Brown, Mrs. C. M. Lucas, 
both of Dallas; Miss Leila Campbell, Gladewater; nine grandchildren, seven 
great-grandchildren; a brother and sister, Judge W. C. Campbell and Mrs. Rosa
Parker, both of Palestine.

Interment was in the City Cemetery at Fairfield.
