Funeral services were held in Picayune, Mississippi for Andrew Joshua Canady,
age 73, who died February 7, in a Picayune hospital following a lengthy
illness.

Mr. Canady was preceded in death by his first wife, Izetta, in 1940. All eight
daughters of this marriage survive: Mrs. Verina Daniell, Dallas,; Mrs. Maurice
Holder, San Antonio; Mrs. Jacqueline Patton, Richardson; Mrs. Lena Fay Bonner
and Mrs. El Norma Day of Fairfield; Mrs. Alice Minchew, Mart; Mrs. Carol Ann
Bowers, Dallas; and Mrs. Ocha Strong, San Jose, Calif.

Also surviving are his wife, Eula Bell and their two daughters, Mrs. Linda
Smith and Miss Andrea Canady of Gulfport and Picayune, Mississippi; two step
daughters, three step sons; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Seely and Mrs. Gertrude
Henderson of Teague, three brothers, Fred and Roy Canady of Teague and Alonzo
Canady of Houston; and twenty-four grandchildren.
