Morris Leon Cannon

TEAGUE - Morris Leon Cannon, 64, of Teague, died Tuesday in Parkview Regional
Hospial-Mexia. He had resided in Teague since 1973 and was a self-employed
welder.

Mr. Cannon, who served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was born April 10, 1940, in Madisonville, to Horace Leon and Arie Lee Eaves
Cannon, both of whom preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was a
brother, Bobby Lee Cannon.

Surviving are his wife, Jo Nita Cannon of Teague; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Rickey and Robin Cannon, and Buddy and Brandy Cannon, all of
Teague; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Steve Hudson of Fort Worth.

Visitation was Wednesday evening.

Funeral services for Mr. Cannon will be conducted this afternoon at 1:30 in
Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Minister Dale Mitchell.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Morris Leon Cannon, 64, of Teague died Nov. 9 in Parkview Regional Hospital in
Mexia. Funeral services were held Nov. 11 at Blair Stubbs Chapel will Dale
Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Cannon was born April 10, 1940 in Madisonville to Horace Leon and Arie Lee
Eaves Cannon. He was a self-employed welder and a member of the Church of
Christ. He served in the U.S. Army.

Cannon's parents and one brother, Bobby Lee Cannon preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Nita Cannon; two sons, Rickey Cannon and wife
Robin of Teague and Buddy Cannon and wife Brandy of Teague; one daughter, Donna
Hudson and husband Steve of Fort Worth; five grandchildren, Travis and Hayley
Hudson of Fort Worth, Lucas Cannon of Teague, and Bailey and Bates Cannon of
Teague; one aunt, Wilma Wilson of Pearland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers were Dick Cannon, Harvey Johnson, Alton Gunn, Wilton
Searcy, Dennis Searcy and James Gunn.
