Bobby Lee (Cannonball) Cannon

Bobby Lee (Cannonball) Cannon, 78, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 
in Fairfield. Services were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Capps 
Memorial Chapel with Evangelist Don Thornton officiating. Interment followed at 
Dew Cemetery. Visitation was from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 
also at Capps Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Cannon was born January 20, 1933 in Mineola, Texas. He married Glenda 
Mitchell on April 23, 1968 in Odessa. From 1968 until 1986 he was the owner of 
Cannon Hot Shot, a delivery service in Odessa. He retired from Weatherford I
nternational in 2005. He had been a Fairfield resident for five years moving from 
Odessa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Fayenell Eason 
Slaughter and a brother, Wayne Cannon. Pallbearers will be Larry Arnold, Dennis 
Skinner, Scotty Cannon, Brandon Cogdell, Button Bourne, Casey Townsend and Chad 
Cannon.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Glenda; three children, Wade Cannon and 
wife Kim of Las Vegas, NV; Bob Cannon, Jr. and wife Brenda Johnson of Fairfield; 
Tina Mann of Odessa; three sisters-in-law, Barb Cannon of Bellaire, MD; Louise 
Morgan of Andalusia, AL; Beulah Smith of Chickasaw, AL; grandchildren, Scotty 
Cannon; Chad Cannon; Brandy Cannon; Ashley Cogdell and husband Brandon; Shelby 
Cannon; Casey Townsend; Brittaney Cannon; Jamie Morrow; Cary White and Cody Felt; 
great-grandchildren, Breckyn Cannon; Deegan Cannon; Blythe Rither; Hunter Rither 
and Chase Rither.
