Sylvester Cantrell

Sylvester Cantrell, 69, of Kirvin passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2002 in Waco.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with the
Rev. Louie Jones and the Rev. Wayne Mahoney officiating. Interment will follow
at Woodlawn Cemetery in Kirvin.

Pallbearers will be George Hendrix, Royce Daniel, Shane Wright, Charles Sikes
Jr., Christopher Duke and James Ritter. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny
Bosley, Jim Bosley, John Duke and Marvin Stanberry.

Mr. Cantrell was born Dec. 22, 1932 in Merryville, Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elice and Pearl Cantrell; grandson,
John Sanderson Jr.; and brother, Jack Cantrell.

Mr. Cantrell is survived by his wife, Mildred Cantrell of Kirvin; son, Timothy
Cantrell of Groesbeck; daughters, Kathy Duke of Groesbeck, Tonia Sikes of
Streetman, and Karen Sterling of Brock; 12 grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Cantrell of Lake Charles, Louis. and Virgil
Cantrell of DeRidder, Louis.; sisters, Bobbie Johnson of DeRidder, Louis. and
Geneva Richards of Forrest, Ark.
