Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder newspaper March 26, 2009 Helen Love Capp Funeral services were held Sunday for Helen Love Capp, 91, of Teague who died Wednesday, March 18, at Providence Hospital in Waco. Mrs. Capp was born in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania on Oct. 21, 1917. While living in Pennsylvania, she met her husband, Joseph T. Capp. The two married on July 4, 1938. Mrs. Capp worked as a telephone operator for several years. She and her husband moved to Lufkin in the late 1960's and then to Teague in the mid 1970's. Mrs. Capp was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where she served as church secretary and Sunday school teacher. Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the First Assembly of God Church in Teague with Patrick Slack and Robert Sullivan officiating. Interment followed at Shanks Cemetery near Kirvin. Mrs. Capp is survived by her son, Joseph H. Capp and wife Lula of Elyria, Ohio; daughter, Barbara Evans and husband Robert of Teague; grandchildren, Joel Evans and wife Olga, Mike Evans and wife Debbie, Elizabeth Hagler and husband Todd, Janie Shirley and husband Jeff, Joseph G. Capp, Jodi Cunningham and husband Jim; Great-grandchildren, Brian Evans and wife Amy, Evan DeVillier and wife Crystal, Ethan DeVillier and wife Ashley, Emory DeVillier, Marissa Evans, John Clifton, Elizabeth Poehler and husband John, Matthew Gainer, Kristina Capp, Colton Capp, Morgan Cunningham, Cheyenne Cunningham; and four great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph T. Capp and son, George E. Guzzi. Arrangements were made by Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
