GOLIA BERNICE JACKSON CARPENTER

Funeral services for Sister Golia Bernice Jackson Carpenter, 81, of Mexia,
Texas, were held on Saturday, February 24, 2006, at Grove Island African 
Methodist Episcopal Church in Teague, Texas.

Ministers SUPT. L.J. Manning, Pastor, Lighthouse Church of God In Christ, 
officiated at the services. Interment was at Grove Island Cemetery in Teague,
Texas.

Sister Carpenter was born on March 4, 1925, in Freestone County, Texas. She
passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2007, at Heritage Oaks Nursing and Rehab 
Center in Arlington, Texas. She was a member of Salvation Lighthouse Church of
God In Christ in Mexia.

Sister Carpenter is survived by her sons William Jackson of Mexia and Bobby 
Carpenter of Arlington, Texas, her daughters Annie Marie Lee of Chicago, 
Illinois, Dorothy Carpenter of Arlington, and Lois Carter of Bryan, her sisters
Annie B. Morrison of Chicago, Illinois and Vernell Glenn and husband Morris of
Fort Worth, seven grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, relatives
and friends.

Casket bearers were her grandsons and nephews. Honorary bearers were Lighthouse
Church of God In Christ Deacons.

Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of the arrangements.
