John Everett Carr, Jr. of 318 Harmon, Fairfield, Texas, husband of Elizabeth
Hazel Carr and father of Renee' Beth Koenig and husband Edward Walter Koenig,
Jr. of Melbourne, Florida, John Everett Carr, III and wife, Bren Montgomery
Carr of Fairfield, Texas, and William Harvey Carr and wife Patricia Lee Carr of
Corpus Christi, Texas, was promoted to the church triumphant on April 22, 2000
in Corpus Christi, Texas. 

Born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1916, Mr. Carr was retired but worked for over 30
years for Union Texas Petroleum (Arco Petroleum), Houston, Texas and its
subsidiaries. He was manager of Green's Fuel Gas Company in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida, President of the National Gas Company of Missouri and Advertising
Manager for UTP. Mr. Carr was also president of the Missouri LP Gas
Association, a deacon and an elder in the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A., a
licensed pilot and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. 

In addition to his children he is survived by 10 grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren. 

Graveside services were conducted at the Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield, Texas
on Wednesday, April 26, 2000 at 4:00 p.m."
