Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mr. Timothy Carter, Jr. The Angelic Hosts came for Mr. Timothy Carter, Jr., 86, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in the Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center among loving family and devoted friends. A viewing was held Friday, February 28, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe Street, Teague, Texas 75860. Funeral Services were Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clara Gilbert of Tyler, Texas officiating. Interment followed at Johnson Cemetery in Fairfield, Texas. The Late Timothy and Odessa Carter welcomed Timothy Carter, Jr., their first child, on December 5, 1927 into their home in Kirven, Texas. Timothy attended school in Fairfield, Texas and served in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he made his home in Chicago, Illinois. He worked for Dresser Industries manufacturing heavy equipment and retired after many years. He returned to Texas in the early 90’s. He moved back to Fairfield, Texas in 2001 and remained until his death on February 19, 2014. Timothy enjoyed fishing and watching football. He will be remembered most for his smile, having a good time, and enjoying life to the fullest. Timothy Carter was preceded in death by: his parents; and his 3 sisters: Audrey Carter Haynes, Maudean Carter Carroll, and Bonita Carter Barker. Those left to cherish his memory most are: his three brothers: Lozell Cater and wife Francis, Dallas, Texas; Kenneth Carter and wife Marilyn, Teague, Texas; Jefferson Carter and wife Doris, Fairfield, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
