Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth (Payne) Carter

      Obituary
  On Nov. 3, 1908, while the death angels were reaping for the Master they paused
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alford Carter, and took their dear mother, Mrs. Sarah
Carter. Had she lived until next August she would have been 88 years old.
  After six long weeks of suffering her sainted spirit took its flight from this
world of sorrow and care, to that home beyond the skies, where her dear husband
and children await to welcome her home. She is gone, but not forgotten. We
remember her still, and will for years to come. Hers was a most lovable character.
She was good and kind with all whom she came in contact with, and was loved by
all who knew her. With sad hearts we bow to this dispensation of Providence, and
extend to all of her loved ones our deepest sympathy.
  Her remains were interred in the Carter graveyard.
  May the good Lord help her loved ones left behind to look up through their
tears to learn where Grandma has gone, and get ready to meet her there where
parting is unknown.
