  The many friends here of Uncle Al Carter, will regret to learn of his death, 
which occurred at his home near Kirven last Friday night. Deceased had been in 
ill health for some time, although able to be up and about until a few days before
his death.

  Dec. 7 - We are sad to report the death of Mr. Al Carter, which occurred at his
home, Wednesday night, Dec. 2 [incorrect - appeared in Nov. 27th issue].  Mr. 
Carter was an aged man and one of Freestone's old settlers, being well known all 
over the county. His many friends will regret to learn of his death.
