Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle - Feb 22, 2007: WILLIE D. CARTER Funeral services for Mr. Willie D. Carter will be on Saturday, February 24, 2007, 1:00 p.m., at Antioch Asia Primitive Baptist Church in Teague. Mr. Carter was born on August 18, 1917, to Lawrence Carter and Ocolor Heggar. Mr. Carter passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield, Texas. Mr. Carter was raised and attended school in the Furney Richardson Community and served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. He worked for Exxon Service Station for a number of years then worked and retired from Teague Brick Plant. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife Annie Carter of Teague, his daughters Joyce Busby Jacobs of Houston, Christine King and husband Charlie of Mexia, Celestine Jones and husband Ronald of Teague, his son John Carter and wife Katie of Teague, his sister Ruby Branch and husband R.B. of Teague, his aunts Gladys Anderson of Houston, Stella Dillard of Houston and Therma L. James of Clovis, New Mexico, special cousin Lester Busby, special nephew Leo Hicks and special son Donald Jolivet, 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers for Mr. Carter will be Michael Carter, Sr., Michael Henderson, Jr., Vincent Mims, Walter Porter, Lester Busby, James Jackson, Ivan McWilliams and Alford L. Carter, Jr. Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery in Teague, Texas.
