Virginia Cotton Carter

Virginia Cotton Carter, 86, of Mexia, went to be with her Lord on Saturday,
April 5, 2008, at 6:20 p.m.

Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon, April 12, 2008, at 1 o’clock in
Pearly Gates Funeral Home, 827 Highway 171, in Mexia. Family visitation will be
Friday, April 11, 2008, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Pearly Gates Chapel.

Virginia was born on May 6, 1921, in Woodland, Tx. She will be greatly missed
by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bailey Carter;
her son, Bailey Carter, Jr.; her parents, J.P. and Martha Cotton, and by her
stepson, Alfred Carter.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughter, Martha Carter of Mexia; a grandson, 
Allen Carter of Mexia; a granddaughter, Kimberly Williams and husband Delonia 
of Mexia; great-grandsons - D.J. and Avery Williams and Brandon Dansby; great-
granddaughters - Justice and Jennifer Williams, Cherica Carroll, Keshia Bedford,
Kimeshia Lloyd, Demetrius Carter and Olivia Jones; God-daughter, Debra Henry;
granddaughters - Calandra and Brandie Wilson; grandsons Cedrick and Biderick 
Wilson; God-daughter, Audrey Hardaway; grandsons Harry, Malcom and Bill 
Hardaway; granddaughters - LeJuana and Marie Hardaway; 25 great-grandchildren 
and one to be born in April of 2008.

Pearly Gates Funeral Home is in charge of the Carter service.
