He was 61. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Carter was born in Wortham and lived there for 32 years. He had lived in Fort Worth for 24 years. Mr. Carter graduated from Wortham High School and attended Texas College in Tyler. Before becoming custodian for H&M Food System, he was a shipping and receiving clerk for Bell Helicopter Textron.He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors: Wife, Wanda Jean Carter of Fort Worth; three daughters, Alana Lynette Carter of Fort Worth, Rhonda Smith of De Soto and Linda Green of Phoenix; five sons, Byron Carter of Houston, James Carter of Corsicana, Michael Carter of Fort Worth, Christopher Carter of California and Gregory Carter of Mesquite; three sisters, Mary Lou Love of Dallas, Ludell Thomas of San Angelo and Annie Dora Lucas of Mexia; three brothers, Tommie Carter and Charles Carter, both of Fort Worth, and HarrisonCarter of Dallas; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
