Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder January 2008 Harriet Melviney Castile Funeral services were held this week for Harriet Melviney Castile, 100, of Wortham who died Friday, Jan. 18 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. Mrs. Castile was born in Bremond on Oct. 30, 1907. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Antioch Baptist Church in Mexia with Rev. Cleo High and Tas Betts officiating. Internment followed at the Wortham Cemetery. Mrs. Castile is survived by grandchildren Marcia A. Weathers and husband Elmer (Bubba) of Mexia, Claraness Washington and husband Thelbert of Hewitt, Joyce Bradford and husband Roy of Corsicana, Derrick Anthony Castile of Corsicana and Danny Michael Castile and wife Zoleta of Mexia; 19 great grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Doc Mato Castile.
