Kevin Gilmore led the services, held at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Castles was born Dec. 20, 1921 in Leon. She was a homemaker and retired owner of Castles Dry Goods, and was a member of Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Castles was preceded in death by husband Sammie Castles, parents Arthur and Bessie Graham Allbritton, sister and brother-in-law Bernice and Taylor Bell, brother-in-law J.C. Miller and nephews Van and Ricky Allbritton. Survivors are sons Glenn Castles and wife Janis and Ronnie Castles and wife Barbara, daughter Linda Cadle and husband Joe, brother Weldon Allbritton and wife Odell, sisters Vernell (“Nell”) Miller and Adelle Henson and husband Tim; Grandchildren Leisha Cadle Scaling, Leah Cadle Byrd, Lanette Cadle McMullen, Donna Castles McKelroy, Glenda Castles Johnson, Linda Castles Haley, Brent Castles, Keri Castles, Sam Castles, Daniel McCoslin, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends. Burial was at Buffalo Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charlie Waters, Dennis Mills, Johnnie McKelroy, Tom Scaling, Matthew Byrd and Mark McMullen. Honorary pallbearers were Brent Castles, Daniel McCoslin and Sam Castles.
