Billy Chappell

Billy Chappell, 71, of Fairfield passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001 at East
Texas Medical Center in Fairfield. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary
Baptist Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Wyatt Tisdale and the Rev. Dean
Easterling officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery in
Fairfield. 

Mr. Chappell was born March 13, 1930 in Fairfield. He married Patricia Beasley
Chappell July 22, 1952. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War
veteran. He was a member of Fairfield VFW Post No. 5872. He was a member and
deacon at Ward Prairie Baptist Church. He was retired from the Texas Highway
Department. 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Chappell; daughter and son-in-law, Deana
and David McAdams; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Diane Chappell;
grandchildren, Melissa Jordan, Bryan Chappell, Jennifer McAdams and Daniel
McAdams, all of Fairfield; and great-grandchild, Colton Chappell, all of
Fairfield; and sister, Geneva Morrison of Pasadena.
