Diane McAdams Chappell

Diane McAdams Chappell, 55, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 
at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. 
Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Skinner and 
Bro. Louis Simpson officiating. Interment followed at Lake Chapel Cemetery. 
Pallbearers were David Mc- Adams, Daniel McAdams, Robert McAdams, Jimmy Murphy, 
Kenneth Ray Beasley and Roger Young. Honorary pallbearers were Dawson Grissett 
and Colton Chappell.

Diane was born June 27, 1959 in Pasadena, Texas to parents Bobby and Arlean 
McAdams. Diane grew up in Fairfield and attended Fairfield schools. She married 
Joe Carl Chappell on April 15, 1978. During their time together Diane made a home 
for Joe and their two children. She loved taking care of her family that included 
nieces, nephews and four special grandchildren. She opened her home to her uncle, 
Richard McAdams eight years ago and has taken care of him ever since. She had a  
special connection with her niece Ashley McAdams. Ashley provided compassionate 
care for her aunt during her illness as well as provided support for Joe. She was 
preceded in death by a brother, Garry McAdams and her fatherin law, Billy Chappell.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Joe; a loving daughter, Melissa 
Grissett and husband Michael; a loving son, Bryan Chappell; four grandchildren, 
Colton Chappell, Madyson Chappell, Ellie Grissett, Dawson Grissett; her parents, 
Bobby and Arlean McAdams; a brother and his family; Ronny, Jan and Ashley McAdams; 
mother-in-law, Pat Chappell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Deana and David 
McAdams along with numerous nieces, cousins and friends.
