C. D. CHAPPELL, NATIVE CITIZEN OF FREESTONE COUNTY PASSES AWAY

  C. D. Chappell, aged 58, died at bis home in Ward Prairie community Wednesday 
morning. Burial is announced for this afternoon in Lake Chapel cemetery, following
services at Ward Prairie church. 
  Mr. Chappell is survived by his widow and the following children: Mrs. H. A. 
Lee Jr.,  Mrs. Ernest Minchew, Marion, Louie, Mary, Ellis and Bernice Chappell, 
all of whom live in and around Ward Prairie except Marion who lives in California, 
and arrived here Wednesday afternoon.
  Mr. Chappell was born and spent his entire life in the immediate vicinity of 
where he died. He was a member of the Baptist church, and he was devoted to his 
church and lived a consistent Christian life. He was loved and revered by his
neighbors.
