Elvira (Montalvo) Chavez

TEAGUE - Funeral services for Mrs. Elvira Montalvo Chavez, 79, of Teague, will
be held Saturday morning at 8 o'clock in Northcrest Church of Christ. Jadiel
Hernandez of Iglesia de Christo-Mexia, will officiate. Burial will be in Mexia
Cemetery, under direction of Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home-Teague.

Mrs. Chavez, who died Tuesday in Charlston Methodist Hospital-Dallas, was born
in Villa Morelos, Michuacan, Mexico. She had resided in Teague since 1974, was
a Homemaker and retired as an employee in 1996 from Teague Nursing Home.

Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by
parents, Jose and Thomasa Orosco Montalvo; a sister, Palmira Montalvo, and by
three brothers - Juvenal Montalvo, Jose Montalvo and Unico Montalvo.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at
Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home-Teague.

Surviving are three daughters, Angelina, Sara and Adela; five sons, Estanislao,
Jr., Paz, Fransico, Miguel and Jose; 22 grandchildren and many
great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Tony Chavez, Paz Chavez, Frank Chavez, Miguel Chavez and Sara
Valdez.
