Freestone County, Texas Obits The Teague Chronicle December 14, 2006 WILLIAM CHERRY Funeral services for Mr. William Henry Cherry, 82, of Fairfield, Texas, were held on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield. Rev. Terry Skinner conducted the services and interment was at Fairfield Cemetery. Mr. Cherry was born on March 2, 1924, in Kirvin, Texas, to Leo and Mattie Cherry. He passed away on Monday, December 4, 2006, in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Cherry was retired from the position of Gas Transportation and drove a school bus for the Fairfield Independent School District after retirement. He was a member of Gideon Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Cherry is survived by Helen Mozelle Black Cherry, his wife of 59 years, his daughters Glenda Tisdale and husband Gary of Fairfield, Penny Brown and husband Steve of Kilgore, Patty Horne and husband Marc of Mountain Home, Arkansas, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His sisters Dean Mosteit of LaPorte, Texas, Neva Harrison of Pasadena, Texas and Mary Newman of Fairfield also survive Mr. Cherry. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and his grandson. Pallbearers for Mr. Cherry were Jason Tisdale, Chris Horne, Jody Horne, Bryan Beets, Gary Tisdale, Steve Brown and Marc Horne. Capps Memorial Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
