H. O. "Odie" Christian, 101, of Teague, died July 10, 1992, at Teague Nursing 
Home.Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Ricks Funeral Home Chapel in Teague, with 
the Rev. Royce Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 13, 1890, at Fort Chadbourne, Texas. He was a retired hardware 
store clerk and a member of the Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. He had lived in 
Teague since 1942.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Jolly Christian, on Sept 5, 1976, 
and by four sons.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Arvin Christian of Chander and Odis D. 
Christian of Kirvin; one daughter Myrtis E. Eubanks of Dallas, 13 grandchildren,
28 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Deacons of the Eighth Avenue Baptist Church
will serve as honorary pallbearers.
